Director of Finance and Administration
Terri Wallace, director of finance and administration at Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA), has over 25 years of accounting and finance experience. Her responsibilities include internal and external financial reporting of monthly and year-end financial statements with budget to actual comparisons and preparing MHPA’s books for audit and taxes.
Terri’s financial analysis and planning duties include budget variance reporting and managing MHPA’s annual operating budget. On the administration side, she handles all MHPA employee benefits and payroll as well as purchasing and business operations, where she monitors licensing and registration requirements, maintains appropriate insurance coverage including but not limited to liability and directors and officers, and oversees MHPA’s office systems including telephone, security, computer software and hardware, and other furnishings and equipment.
Previously, Terri was controller at the National Council of State Housing Agencies, finance director at the National Women’s Law Center, and CFO at Educational Options, Inc., where she managed over 200 employees. Most recently she served as director of finance and administration at the National Association of State Energy Officials, where she was responsible for $34 million in federally administered grants.
Terri received her M.B.A. in management with an emphasis in accounting and finance from Southeastern University and her B.B.A. in management from Howard University.
