MHPA and HT4M Announce Strategic Partnership to Drive Medicaid Innovation
Partnership Supports Deployment of Transformative Technologies by Medicaid Managed Care Organizations to Improve Coordination of Care, Member Engagement, and Quality Outcomes
WASHINGTON, DC— June 7, 2019 — The Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA) and HealthTech4Medicaid (HT4M) today announced an exclusive partnership to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies that enhance access to comprehensive, quality, and cost-effective care for Medicaid enrollees.
“The healthcare landscape is evolving, and as more populations are rolling in, it’s important that managed care evolve with it to improve population health and quality,” said Kelly Munson, Chair of MHPA’s Board of Directors and WellCare’s Executive Vice President for Medicaid. “This strategic partnership with HT4M aligns with MHPA’s mission and will support continued innovations in the Medicaid space. Our health plans are thrilled to work together with HT4M as we continually seek to improve outcomes and enhance the member experience for the nation’s most vulnerable citizens.”
“For HT4M to move the needle on innovation in Medicaid, we must partner deeply with the organizations that support Medicaid recipients clinically in their care,” said Leah Sparks, Co-Chair of HT4M and CEO of Wildflower Health. “MHPA is exactly the type of organization we should be working with to fulfill that imperative.”
In addition to bridging the knowledge and relationship gaps between Medicaid health plan executives and healthtech CEOs, the partnership will develop forward-thinking policy to modernize Medicaid and the evolution of regulations to enable greater innovation and the use of health technology.
